Blog : Our audience

January 23, 2006

So, as our loyal reader (thanks, mom) knows, although we’ve been doing our best to, you know, at least create *some* sort of content, we don’t exactly have any sort of audience at this point. How does word get out on this? Well, outside of people we know who might like video games, and people we know who don’t care about video games too much but want to humor us so we’ll stop bothering them, about our only hope is the occasional search engine hit, until we come up with something truly amazingly humorus and get slashdotted/farked/dugg/scrawled on bathroom walls. So, in our first month or so of real, true operation, here is what we’ve got coming out of Google, MSN and the like.

Our biggest line in of folks, right now, is people searching for the term Polybius. This is good, as, you know, it’s in the url. To people looking for information about Greek philosophers: oh oh we totally zinged you. We’re not in the top ten or anything, but Google has us at a respectable twelfth, which is almost as good as being on the first page, he tries to justify to himself in vain. After that, we’ve got polybius game, which is again closer, but still a bit misleading.

Third on the list is Sex Gaiden. I don’t know what this is. Topless Ninja Gaiden? Perhaps some amateur dojinshini featuring Ryu Hayubasa being knocked repeatedly into pits by a bunch of hawks until he orgasms? How did we get more than one hit from this? It’s a secret to everyone.

Outside of that, there’s a few character name hits, something called ‘gogo happy and smile’, and of course, Kancho Master. Congratulations, Polybius Staff! You have successfully associated yourselves with putting fingers in people’s butts!

Never one to disappoint a crowd, keep your eye on this space for our new webcomic, “Jaquio, Sex Kancho Master of Happy Mineral Town” coming to this space sometime next week.
