Blog : Fire Up the Batmobile

Having played through Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (or, more accurately, backseat-drove through a playthrough), I knew there was something about the game that bugged me, but I couldn’t put my finger on it until tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, I reveal a well-hidden Konami secret to you:

Yoko Belnades is Liz Phair.

That explains a lot, doesn’t it? About Liz Phair, I mean. After all, who’s got time to attempt even a halfhearted followup to “Exile in Guyville” (or, hell, even “Whip-Smart“) when they’re busy face-knifing an army of the undead? No wonder that comeback album was fucking awful. Girl was plain tuckered out.

   I just played through this one not too long ago, too, except it was the fucken Chinese version so I barely understood anything that was going on with Yoko or Mina or anyone else who said anything.
